A wonderful restaurant run by a lovely couple with more than 120 years of combined experience in the restaurant business. Truly impressive for just two people! Don’t expect anything over the top, but rather honest, delicious food at very fair prices. We had the schnitzel and the trout, both absolutely fantastic! Perfectly cooked, served with a rich sauce, crispy fries and a fresh, crunchy salad.

Visiting Saarburg? Make sure to support these locals. Dining here feels like being welcomed by your own grandparents who cook with genuine love. Highly recommended. We loved it!

This was definitely the highlight of our trip to Saarburg. The hotel & restaurant is run by an elderly couple who are the most friendly people around. The food was fabulous. If you want to experience the real German hospitality this is the place to be!

I tried the restaurant with two friends. We were looking for a place with a more traditional menu, and we found this small restaurant in an inn run by a nice elder couple. They speak german and french, and a little bit of english. It's a great option while visiting Saarburg, it's located by walking distance to the center and it's a less touristy site. The prices are very acceptable, and you can get a schnitzel with salad and chips + beverage for approximately 15€. The food was really good and tasted comforting and homemade, with a great quality/price ratio. It doesn't have the option to pay by credit/debit card, so it's better to bring some money to avoid a trip to an ATM after the meal. Would recommend!

We experienced this restaurant trying to avoid the center and tourist restos. What a discovery! We were offered authentic German food, prepared with love and fresh ingredients. The place had a charm and the service is unforgettable, welcoming, and makes you feel at home. The food was delicious. I will repeat without doubts.

Lovely authentic local food. Fish was good and portion generous, great value for money in a place that brings you back in time. No much of a fancy deco, clean and comfortable enough to enjoy a good hearty meal. Restaurant is well kept and managed by a sweet elderly couple.

We came here on the 2nd January and everything else was shut. It was a rainy day and we’re nearly heading back to our place when we saw this place and we tried the door to see if it was open. What a pleasant experience to be there. The owner was so kind! The food was delicious! Even my fussy kids finished their lunch. I highly recommend this place to anyone coming to Saarburg. Lovely and authentic food! You won’t be disappointed.

Lovely old fashioned restaurant short distance away from town centre. Its run by an old couple, so don't expect speedy service. Great food, great value. They don't make them like this anymore!
