Heat family experience. Recommend reservation if busy time. We were able to walk in with plenty inside and outside tables a available. All food was prepared well.

Every time we visit, we enjoy great service, tasty food, and the beautiful view. A very relaxed location to have a drink or simple lunch. They have a surprisingly large menu, and all of the salads, schnitzels, soup, and flamkucken we have tried have been good!

We loved the Castle Tavern! ❤️ Their salad with chicken was the best I've ever had. The chicken was cooked perfectly. It was tender and flavorful. The salad itself was also very fresh, and their vinegrette was delicious. It's a neat tavern with a cool view and fantastic food. I highly recommend stopping by!

This must be hidden gem! But not so much. We were simply touring and deciding to check this place out. Unfortunately we had food before we got there so we only focused on beverages and desserts. Their cheesecake is top notch. The personnel are very friendly. The only thing that topped the drinks and desserts were the view. You get to see the city from the top and its surroundings.

For our evening meal, we chose to dine at The Castle Tavern situated near the historic Nanstein Castle. The German cuisine was quite satisfying. The view was spectacular! Unfortunately, we arrived too late to explore the castle's interior, but there's always next time. If you haven’t been here then you’ll definitely want to give them a try. You won’t regret it!

Wonderful place to eat once you arrive to it. The road up is quite small and one car at some points but there are waking paths all over that one could take. The restaurant is right beside the castle ruins and the scenery is beautiful. The food was wonderful and filling. Just be warned that sausage salads are a cold meal, my wife didn't expect that. The service was good albeit slow.. very slow the day we went, but I really do think that was because there was only server and she was really working it.

They have seating both inside and outside and the weather was wonderful the day we went for outside eating. They're dog friendly. They only except cash, no cards. Good drink selections.

Some of my party who will be remaining in the area longer than I were already making plans on returning again..

I thoroughly enjoyed the breathtaking views offered by this place. Its vantage point overlooking Landstuhl city is truly remarkable. The menu mainly features delicious German dishes such as schnitzel and hearty options. However, their house specials are truly exceptional. During my visit, I had the pleasure of trying their boar burger, which was simply outstanding. While the meat could have used a touch more seasoning, the addition of the horseradish sauce provided a delightful burst of flavor, resulting in a harmonious and well-balanced dish. I highly recommend making a reservation and savoring an uninterrupted evening with your loved ones.
