The only place I buy bottles. I know that, every time I go in, the staff will recommend something to me -- either that I like, or that encourages me to try a new direction. If what I want isn't in stock, they will do what they can to order it for me. Excellent, informed staff and the management is well trained on keeping its regulars feeling valued and a part of a community.

The website is a bit wonky. Be patient. If you contact them directly, they will go out of their way to get what you need.

I found their website when I was looking for a certain style Pouilly Fume online. I ended up buying a case, but then also asked Rich for some recommendations. Really good example of how a wine shop should be run...share your preferences, then rely on an expert to give you some recommendations. I've been really happy with what he's provided, I'll be ordering again.

I came to Chapel Hill from Japan in April. I'm a wine enthusiast, and I was truly surprised to find such a wonderful store in Chapel Hill. Even considering the depreciation of yen , the wines here are more affordable than in Japan. The selection is impeccable (although they don't carry DRC; correction they do!!!), and high-quality wines are sold at reasonable prices. I'll definitely come back to browse more thoroughly.

Went here looking for a wine that my wife loved in Kiawah Island. I searched a lot of places but was unable to find it I guess because it is a small vineyard in Oregon. They contacted one of their vendors and were able to get it for me. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Really cool spot with a ton of different wines and if they don't have it they can probably get it for you.

Chapel Hill Wine Company has been my go to wine store since I moved to the area over 7 years ago. They have consistently exceeded my expectations during that time.

I love being able to email them with questions, order online, and have my wine ready for pickup. Super convenient!

If you are looking for recommendations either for a special meal, expanding your wine horizons, going for a certain taste profile you enjoy, or anything else they have never steered me wrong.

Highly recommended for any of your wine needs. One of my favorite stores ever.
