Shipping, pricing and accuracy were good. We manage commercial real estate and sometimes order in advance, to be in the ready. I ordered the wrong brackets, and in attempting to return and order replacement brackets, they charged me 25% fee, even with the replacement order. I understand that these are their rules, but we will not use them again, and would advise potential customers to consider that. Not a good business model.

I purchased somewhere between forty and fifty of the econolight track heads for two of my optical stores and have had nothing but trouble with them. To be fair, when they work, they give excellent light. Really bright, great for retail downlighting. The problem is that they don't last. I have had a very high failure rate and therefore would warn anyone about buying them. I made a big investment in them and really regret it. They did warranty several of them, but they continue to break down. Very disappointed that they have now stopped backing up their product.

The worst warranty, I ordered 43 lights and all the covers have broken in 2 months and they don't have replacement and no warranty of anything..... very bad quality of products.

If you're shopping strictly price, they are ok. If you want product consistency, quality and availability, go elsewhere. We used to buy a LOT of items from E-Conolight through work, but have been shying away more and more. E-Conolight Inventory anymore is always out of stock, and they're always changing product models. Its hard to install lighting for paying customers when you don't know from one day to the next if it will be available, or if an item you installed 6 months ago is now discontinued. Trying to get ahold of customer service is a joke.

We've started using local vendors who mostly sell products made in the U.S.. We pay a little more through local vendors, but our customers appreciate the consistency in product type and availability.

Performance Leasing

The products are OK, thy don’t last as long as they claim. Customer service is awful. The order specifically said “call 24 hours in advance”; no call, just my neighbor having to collect 12 cartons totaling 350 pounds. One of the cartons was missing. Called e-conolight and was told it was FedEx’s problem. I didn’t buy anything from FedEx, I bought from e-conolight. Customer service rep said “I’m sorry you feel that way.” I don’t “feel that way” it’s what happened. Still no 13th carton, unlucky me. I’ll call my credit card company and dispute the charge.

E-conolight is like an airline; they figure as long as they have the lowest price and eventually get you to your destination alive, you’ll keep coming back. Maybe so, but now you know “the rest of the story”.

I have been using e-conolight over 20 yrs (as Bear Electric).
E-conolight has been one the BEST Suppliers I've ever had the pleasure of using. They have always replaced any (very few) parts that were defective. Quality items always.

They have decent products but they discontinue most of their stuff it seems every few months, so if you buy something and you want to match it later on, it’s not gonna happen and if you need parts forget about it. Stick to a local supply house you’ll pay a little more but you’ll get help when you need it.
