I go to the NY bar all the time. It's one of my favorite bars in the world and for sure I'm going to compare the two. It's very chill here, it has a different bar in the back and a stage area. The interior is very ... Los Angeles. You get the impression that perhaps this place used to be a dinner. The drinks are just as good and they have their own unique drinks and cocktails here. Definitely try the Magic School Bus if it's still on the menu. A must go for anyone who frequents the NY Bar.

Drinks are solid here. I came here a few times and there was always a solid crowd.

Seats are not hard to find if you come late. It's a pretty pack around 11pm, but slows down a little after midnight.

There is a DJ on Fridays and some room for people to dance.

The best and only place for delicious drinks and unique ambience. Their drink menu is out of this world. I come here often, so last time when I got bored with the menu, the bartender made his own creations by request based on my preference. Always a good crowd and a good conversation with the staff! 100% recommend it for a date night, casual night out with friends, really good food and the best drinks in this pet of town.

Vibe vibe vibe! Drinks were delish with a unique “Employees Only” logo engraved in the large ice. We enjoyed a great selection of whisky cocktails and to top it all off, chicken noodle soup for last call! Great experience and establishment!

I was a vendor at this venue, so I didn't drink or eat food. The guests seemed pleased with the dronks and were sharing positive feedback about them. Staff were helpful, pleasant, and professional, creating a comfortable, classy atmosphere. The club was uniquely configured and seemed to have plenty of room for a party or club gathering. I was in the back bar area with a large bar, room for dancing, tables for eating, and enough room for an ice sculpting on the bartop. There was a photo booth area and space left for me to serve my clients with a medium length table and 2 benches.
I took Lyft in, but there was valet parking. Street parking was challenging and not available. There was parking beside the building, but it looked like valet parking had control of that area.
The venue had a great sound system, and the DJ and a couple of Live performers were the front dance floor area. There was also a smaller bar in the front area. The music was TOO loud for my taste because customers could barely hear me. Thank goodness I had a portable amplifier. But it went out towards the end of the event, and I had to use a piece of hard paper to create a makeshift megaphone ? . Also, it was very dark in my corner of the back bar area but I always bring a small desk lamp ? to all my events JUST IN CASE. The rest if the back bar and front dance floor were lit for a normal bar/ party experience. I recommend you check out if you would like to party. I was at this location for a 300-year celebration of a libations company, and their staff was having a blast.

Very dark, very hip, very cool low-key bar/restaurant.
I'm Italian so for my first dining experience here I "put them to the test" by ordering two of my favorite dishes: calamari & shrimp scampi.
The calamari was one of the best I've had in a long time with a very light batter, and unlike most places it wasn't overly "chewy" at all.
The shrimp scampi was also very good, even though it had an untraditional cilantro garnish that I quite enjoyed. (Removing the cilantro wouldn't have been a problem as it sat right on top, and younger-me would've done that before I developed a taste for it)
If I have one complaint it's only that I dislike removing the shrimp tails while I'm eating, but I understand why some chefs leave them on and not only are they edible but they're packed with all kinds of healthy and flavorful goodness.
But personally I've yet to fully embrace actually eating them!

Don’t come here for the food. Drinks may be another thing. The dining experience was less than stellar for all the hype primarily due to three things, the food, the lighting, and the loud environment. The food was less than stellar and most dishes did not meet the value of the high prices. The ambiance was too moody and dark, as if the restaurant had things to hide. I understand creating clandestine feel, but when you can’t read a menu or see your food, it is not enjoyable. The food was a lower standard than some very upscale restaurants in Beverly Hills, but with the same prices. The bread on the charcuterie style board was stale, the pickles were bland, and the nuts were stale. The other dishes were not much better with overly fatty preparations. The noise level was so loud, we were unable to hear each other at a small table for four. Poor value and cuisine. Maybe just stick to drinks here, which others rave about in review. We had uninspiring wine and beer.

Came to employees only for their summer social club brunch pop up and it was pretty darn good. They have a lovely spacious patio area set up with plenty of fake grass and picnic style tables. We were seated at a small table for two which was a bit wobbly and soon after didn’t have enough room for the food/drinks we ordered but we made it work!

My friend ordered the Balinese jungle for a drink and said it was lovely though the coconut cream gives a sort of curdled look. They were having some issues with their ordering system since you do all your ordering through your phone and after asking a few people I found out they DO in fact serve coffee (I figured since it wasn’t offered on the menu for brunch something must be wrong!) but only cold brew that seems to come pre sweetened.

We ordered the churro waffle which did indeed taste like a fluffy on the inside crunchy on the outside churro. Unfortunately I had no idea the cream was supposed to be banana flavored because it just tasted like a normal whipped cream as well as the syrup tasting like any other syrup and lacking the caramel flavors usually led by piloncillo. We also ordered the furikake chilaquiles to share and added both the pork and beef to the dish. The egg was cooked well and the radishes added a fresh crunch but unfortunately everything sort of got lost underneath a slathering of sauce- we really couldn’t tell any differences in meat, Yuzu crema, or hibiscus onions. It all just tasted like the sauce on top which was good but sort of disappointing to lack the combination of flavors.

They seem to be sort of coming up with their menu and working through the kinks so I can’t fault them entirely- if anything it seems to be a nice patio to have a few drinks. Hopefully it will only get better from here.
