If you are looking for a close gaming store in person- this is the place to go…. That’s the only reason they get two stars in my book. We were falsely mislead by an employee when purchasing a product that the store ordered for us online. When the product arrived, my son had to open the box to inspect the item. He then discovered it was not what we intended it to be- we were told they have a no return policy since he opened the box to inspect the item. Maybe this is standard for gaming stores- but I find this lack of customer service poor business policy. THIS is why people order from larger companies with Free Return options. Call it what you will- but compromising customer freedom cannot be bought out with poor customer service. We will never be giving them our business again- it’s just not worth the risk… which is a shame because I’d much rather give my business to smaller companies. Save yourself the risk of wasting money and shop somewhere with Free Return policies.

They have a limited selection of games for switch, and have predatory insurances, this is an issue with all GameStop's but the limited selection is on this store, if in Ashburn area go to the Dulles mall gamestop, it is much better

I recently bought a refurbished Xbox One from GameStop, and it was a huge disappointment. The console was very dirty and the controller wouldn’t hold a charge, and the haptic engine rattled very loudly. When I complained, the staff couldn’t’t care less and tried to sell me a new controller. Terrible customer service and a poor experience overall. I won't be shopping here again.

My son LOVES coming here.

They are super nice and really take the time to answer questions and give honest opinions on games and such.

They even helped me surprise my son with a game by telling him "they were sold out" but letting me buy it secretly while he wasn't looking. Love this type of customer service!

Showed up after they’re supposedly supposed to be open on a Friday 11am and they were closed. Buy somewhere else. Unacceptable.

Very hit or miss experience with this particular store.

Usual good experiences are with the guy with the dark hair, around 5'7 or 5'8? Maybe a little shorter? (Sorry bro) I think he might be the manager? Always helpful never rude. One time I went in with my switch and asked if I could load up a game just for the save file. He completely understood and let me do it right in front of him. I haven't seen him the past couple of times I went. Would be a loss for the store if this guy left the company.

The more recent trips have been pretty bad.

1. Went in to ask about PS5s. Just generic questions (as I didn't know much about it). Then I asked if they had one in stock. They did. But I looked on Costco's website and saw they were doing a promo for a much better deal. When they asked me if I wanted to buy the PS5 there, I said I'll probably just get it at Costco. When I said that both of them looked at me like "how could you not buy from us". This experience not as bad, but not that great either.

2. Went in to get a copy of TOTK. When I went to go pay I asked him if I could get the military discount as I showed him my veteran ID. He looked at the ID and told me that I couldn't get it cause I wasn't active duty. I told him no that's not correct and had to show him GameStop's policy on military discounts and how it applied to veterans as well. After I showed him, he was mumbling something about how I needed to have a specific ID. What got me was what he did after. He asked me if I wanted to renew my Pro membership. I told him no as I shop at GameStop only a few times a year. He then said "of course you don't" like he was annoyed that I didn't help him meet his quota or something. Just because you gave me the military discount doesn't mean I owe you anything. The discount isn't yours to give away anyway. Its company policy. Also the entire time I was talking to him, it was very hard to understand him. I think he had a speech impediment. Dark hair, wears glasses. Yeah I'm talking about you bro. If I see this guy when I go into the store again I'll probably just leave and come back another time.
