This restaurant was randomly found after visiting Christmas market in Gengenbach, and we wanted to have some Schnitzel. Because it was cold and at night, we didn't see the seats outdoors. One of the servant could speak in English, the service was good, he arranged us the seat with dome which was quite comfy, and the Schnitzel and deep fried whole young chicken we ordered were really nice! I finished the whole chicken by myself, plus, the salad the provided was not only regular green salad, also with cucumber, pickled radish and cabbage, I like the salad a lot, the quantity was big and it really balanced the meals we had. The price was also reasonable, we were both very satisfied.

There is some indoor seating. But we were in the beer garden out back. Lots of shade trees and umbrellas. The menu is traditional German food. What we ordered was excellent. The wait staff was patient with our language barrier. They give you plenty of time to eat and talk. Dogs are allowed. Beautiful place to sit and eat.

Really nice atmosphere and food. I had the schnitzel which was very very delicious and also a Kronen beer which was equally nice. The whole Biergarten atmosphere as well as the food was very nice. We were lucky with the weather, so it was quite pleasant sitting in the Garten drinking beer and having delicious food.

The starter salad was a nice touch and it had a delicious vinaigrette. The main course as well as the fries was super nice. Very nice experience. Can definitely recommend

It's a very nice place, the food is very tasty and they have a special menu for Easter which I really would recommend. Be aware though that it gets quite full in the evenings... enjoy your meals otherwise 😋

I think I just was unlucky today, The food tasted great and was cooked just right--it was juicy and still rosy inside; but, the steak was tough. I'll give them another try because if the steak had been tender, this would have been a four star meal, and I've never given a five star to anyone.

Loved this place. Thank god for Google translate as no one spoke English and the menu was in German (which was actually rather nice as it meant we'd found a place that the locals loved and we got an authentic German experience/meal that we were looking for). We had been craving schnitzel and were not disappointed and spatzl was an added bonus for me as I love getting it each year at the Christmas markets. Fast service, beautiful very busy outdoor area (very much a biergarten), on a warm evening really made this a great dining experience. You can pay by card or cash.

The food was really good and the waitress, though didn’t speak much English, was welcoming as well. Most dishes on the menu have English description below their German names, so ordering wasn’t much a problem.
