We dropped for a quick lunch. The food was OK, not spectacular though. They only take cash and the waiters were like in a hurry. I wouldn't especially recommend but not bad

Nice German restaurant with outdoor seating. The place is entirely good during lunch time due to its location, however service is good and food come fast. Traditional German food, portion and price is ok for this area. Good choice for business lunch with colleagues.

This place is one of the best in Frankfurt to not only experience traditional hessian food but also to sit in a tranquil and cosy place with nice people. The crowd is mixed and international, from people living in the area coming there very often to people popping in from work or just to have a refreshing Äppler (also one of the best in Frankfurt). Apart from the traditional cuisine, there are always contemporary or new interpretations on the menu and the quality is always superb.
I am a regular here and this is not only due to the good food and nice interior, but also to the unique and authentic, friendly staff that does the best to keep the customers happy.
Always consider booking a table, since the restaurant is frequently visited and a hotspot at lunch time as well as in the evening. Five stars all in.

Our favorite local place for traditional German cuisine. Everything is outstanding (particularly the Frankfurter Schnitzel, which is to die for!) and the prices quite reasonable considering the quality, lovely atmosphere (both inside and out), and generally upscale area. I must disagree with the other reviews that say "no frills" -- they don't do Eppstein justice!

Wow - a chilled oasis of wine and good food in Westend, hidden just around the corner! They have a large garden in front of the house and plenty of tables, but very little traffic making everything very cosy. Plenty of good things on the menu, and the kitchen is not afraid of specials and substitutions.

Had the Frankfurter Schnitzel. The green sauce is very unique, fresh and local. Get the cheese "mit Musik" 😂
