We had a wonderful lunch here while stopping by on a road trip. My son said it was the best schnitzel he’s ever had! The hot pot was also delicious. The owners were so kind and welcoming- such nice people!

We stopped here for lunch after getting caught in the heavy rain on our ride down the Danube River. Not only was the food amazing, but the woman who worked there was so welcoming and helped us dry out and get as warm as we could. Fantastic service, highly recommend a visit.

# A Hidden Gem on Two Wheels

What started as just another stop during our cycling adventure turned into one of those magical moments that remind you why you travel in the first place. We stumbled upon this charming restaurant completely by chance, tired legs and rumbling stomachs leading us to what would become the highlight of our entire trip.

From the moment we rolled up on our bikes, we were greeted with the kind of warmth that makes you feel like you're visiting old friends rather than strangers. The owner's – he didn't just welcome celebrated our arrival as if we were the guests he'd been waiting for all day. His stories, his laughter, and his obvious pride in both his establishment and his community made us feel instantly at home.

But the true magic happened when the food arrived. Each dish was a revelation – comforting, soul-warming fare that seemed to understand exactly what our weary bodies needed. The flavors were rich and honest, the kind of cooking that comes from passion rather than just profession. Every bite felt like a warm hug after a long day on the road.

The setting itself was breathtaking. As we sat there, the stunning views stretching out before us, we found ourselves completely enchanted by the peaceful atmosphere. Time seemed to slow down in the best possible way. The gentle breeze, the golden light, the perfect combination of great food and even better company – it all came together to create one of those perfect moments that you carry with you long after you've pedaled away.

We kept finding excuses to linger just a little longer, ordering another coffee, sharing another story with our gracious host, soaking in the tranquil beauty of the place. It's rare to find somewhere that captures your heart so completely, but this little restaurant managed to do exactly that.

For fellow cyclists or anyone who appreciates genuine hospitality, incredible food, and stunning surroundings, this place is an absolute must-visit. Sometimes the best discoveries happen when you're not even looking for them.

We had the warmest welcome by the chef/owner. She speaks excellent English and explained the menu which has Austrian specialities and also some Asian options. We came back and were greeted once again by the chefs husband. He could not have been anymore hospitable. I had the Thai vegetable curry and my husband had the chicken schnitzel which he said was the best he had ever had. The food was promptly served and lovely and hot. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Both the service and the food were superb!

Come visit Manfred and his wife on the banks of the Danube. This unassuming Cafe is a hidden gem. Manfred's wife is the head chef and what a chef she is. All of her dishes are fresh, flavorful and tasty. Manfred is a great bartender and host, by trade he has a sheep farm. He will happily guide you to great places for the next beer and meal. Stop by and have a great meal, great beer and a fun time with Manfred and his wife.
