Not very often for me to write a review, but this hotel deserves it. Every time we travel by car in Europe, we never put our finish as our home stop. We always use the adress from this hotel. Very friendly people, quiet location and the food... simply delicious. If you are ever tired from all the motorways or you just want a getaway somewhere peacefully, I strongly recommend it.

Good and kind hotel and restaurant in German.

Being in Deggendorf for business over a long period, I wanted to be both confortable and close. The Hotel Burgwirt was the solution! Only 4,5kms from the city centre, located in a very quiet area which made sleeping very good. The rooms are a good size, very clean, and some have a balcony. Even during the recent very hot weather, the rooms stay reasonably cool, again making it very easy to sleep. The hotel is also ideally located to access the regional park area, and is also only 10mins by car from Plattling which has good railway connections for visiting Munich, Regensburg or Passau for example.||||The restaurant is of a very high quality, and is definitely recommended. The weekends see many non-residents eating there which is a sign of a good restaurant. The hotel has its own bowling alley on the ground floor, ideal for a group to pass the evening. A sauna is also available in the basement.||||The hotel is very much a family run hotel, and the atmosphere reflects this. The family are very pleasant, and very helpful. It can be seen that they take a lot of care in the running of the hotel, and are very proud of the result. Some of the bigger hotels in the area should come here to learn what it means to look after their guests! ||||There is a big aquatic centre approximately 5mins walk from the hotel, with both indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Ideal for families, or even for those travelling alone. The hotel has discounted entry fees and will supply additional towels on request.||||For those who do not speak fluent German (as myself), the language barrier is not a problem, as the team have some English capabilities.||||To conclude, if you are travelling in the area and need a hotel for one or more nights, then the Hotel Burgwirt is THE hotel to use! You will not be disappointed!!

Super friendly staff. Facilitate top notch, and the hotel itself is great. Location is another matter altogether. On the outskirts of deggendorf. Not much to do around. It has a bowling alley, which can be pretty fun. Highly recommended

We stayed here for two nights in September 2016. It was a rather last minute decision, but they had a room for us. A nice room! The hotel has a good, traditional restaurant and Bierstube, which is rather common for country hotels in Bavaria. Food is good and plenty for the price. Breakfast buffet was included in our rate and it offered a solid range of cold cuts, jams, bread, cereal, dairy products etc. Staff offered plenty of advice for excursions and sights and generally took time to chat and make us feel welcome! Large parking area right in front of the hotel. Free wi-fi is offered. Definitely well worth a visit and we will be back!
