I really don’t know why there are any bad reviews about this restaurant! I have been here two days ago and was totally impressed by the quality of food, service and kindness of the waiters and relaxed atmosphere! We ordered two starters, main dishes and dessert - everything was freshly made (I could tell because I preferred without garlic) and delicious! The size was enough and every plate beautifully decorated. I will come back for sure!

We had booked for the Christmas dinner without being informed in advance of the actual conditions. The mandatory €150 menu was only communicated to us the day before, which I find unprofessional for an establishment of this level.

Upon arrival, our table was not ready. While this can happen, no one paid any attention to the situation, which was particularly regrettable on a festive evening.

As for the food, the quality clearly did not justify the price. The meal was acceptable but lacked character, far from what one would expect from a Christmas dinner at this cost: a lack of emotion, originality, and generosity on the plate.

Finally, a particularly unpleasant point was the attitude of the sommelier, who made inappropriate judgments when we chose more modest wines instead of the most expensive grand crus on the list. A restaurant should guide and advise its guests, not judge their choices.

Overall, a disappointing experience, both in substance and in execution, with poor value for money for what was meant to be a special occasion.

We visited Mon Cher Vienna yesterday for their terrace opening and had such a lovely experience! Although we had to wait a bit to be seated, the team made up for it with a really thoughtful gesture—a glass of fancy Josef Pierer champagne, which was such a nice surprise and made us feel truly welcome.

We ordered some starters and they were absolutely delicious—beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The atmosphere on the terrace was great, stylish yet relaxed.

Special thanks to Mustafa (I hope I got the name right!), the sommelier who recommended our drinks. He was super friendly, attentive, and really made the experience even better with his thoughtful suggestions.

Overall, a fantastic spot with great service, excellent food, and a genuine touch of hospitality. Can’t wait to come back!

Good food but nothing to remember;overpriced also.Poor service, we were waiting for menus for a long time; we ordered a glass of wine and we get an empty glass so we had to remind the waiter a few times until we actually get the wine. The waiter was acting very familiar like poking us and making inappropriate remarks and jokes. Also the waitress was very nervous ,arguing with her colleague and slamming trays.

Great place for aesthetic dinner, delicious food and great service. I celebrate my birthday there and it was really great experience. The atmosphere is cosy and relaxing. Pretty much recommended.

Great first breakfast in Vienna.

We’re staying next door at Le Méridien hotel and saw this restaurant next door.

We shared an Omelet and we each had a French Breakfast (croissant) and coffee.

The server was quite pleasant and took good care of us.

The food preparation and quality was great.

It was pleasant inside the restaurant and they opened the window to the outside next to our table. That was nice.

Absolutely loved Mon Cher! The live music creates such a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious, and the dining experience overall was top-notch. The staff are incredible—super friendly, attentive, and able to handle any request with a smile. The interior is spacious and beautifully decorated with amazing paintings, making it feel both elegant and cozy. Out of all the places I’ve been to in Vienna, I can highly recommend this one. It really has everything you’d want in a great restaurant!
