Steve is Steve, wait to be seated. Two people are only allowed on a small table. But food is really good and authentic.

For Amercians Home from Home for Germans a bit of America in Germany. Food and drinks absolutely fantastic. We had a great time talking to Steve and listening to some of his stories. His lovely staff looked after us like family. We'll definately be back

Went there on a Sunday with my lady. Food was what you’d expect from soul food. Very nice experience and very authentic place. Veteran owned business with lots of activities and menu specials in the summer. We recommend coming here if you’re looking for an all American bar- and grill spot in the rhine- main metropolitan area.

We expected more. The restaurant was highly recommended so I decided to try it out. It's Saturday so we attempted to reserve a table for 4 online. We didn't hear back so we called. They said they couldn't see the reservation, but they could accommodate.
When we arrived, I saw that it's really a beautiful building located in the middle of an industrial area. No problem finding a parking spot, and somehow the location added to the charm.
We went in, and there's American kitch to the decor. Nothing exaggerated, but pleasant. The table was large and the seats were comfortable.
That's where things changed. We were 2 adults with 2 children. Both boys were really hungry, so during the drink order, I asked if we could get a couple of orders of onion rings as an appetizer.
We then waited. And waited.
Drinks almost 30 minutes and appetizer 40 minutes.
The restaurant was not full and there appeared to be adequate wait staff. An additional drink order was forgotten and had to be placed again.
This arrived 25 minutes later with our order.
I ordered the largest burger medium rare with double cheese and double bacon and BBQ sauce. My burger was literally a hockey puck and as dry as the Sahara. No BBQ sauce, one little slice of process cheese and 3 two inch burned slices of a bacon looking substance.
The other orders were also wrong and similarly sub standard. If it weren't for the kids, I would have left, paying only for the drinks.
I had heard good things, but this was one of the worst burger joints I've visited.
And expensive!
2 orders of rings, 3 burgers 🍔 and fries, 1 children's chicken nuggets, 1 beer, and 5 soft drinks for a total of 90€.
I won't be back.

Any American who is still in Hanau or nearby needs to go to Steve's at least once. The food is amazing. The grilled and bbq dishes just make me feel like I'm back home. It's authentic southern comfort food. From the menu I highly recommend the brisket or the ribs or steak. The sandwiches and burgers are also very good. Just overall oldschool homey-feel.

The food especially the burgers are really tasty. The staff is friendly and gives you a great service so you can enjoy your meal in a nice american flair. Steve is cordial and likes to come over for a talk and give you some entertainmemt. A place you feel welcome. I can highly recommend Steve's.
